Terraced period house: complete renovation, open plan layout, new kitchen and bathroom in rebuilt extension, floor to ceiling glazing in kitchen.

The glazing is a timber sliding door, with anodised aluminium cladding on the outside, imported from Slovenia. The zinc cladding on the sides, the roof and the gutter transforms this residential extension into a bright, cool, metal box. No downpipes are visible.

The large glazing joins inside and outside and gives the impression of a larger space in this small kitchen.

Design stage: Back elevation, enlarged double doors to dining, glazing to kitchen.

A brick lintel above the new double doors in the back wall of the main house is made to match the existing period style.
