Double fronted redbrick
Original Edwardian double-fronted redbrick within a mature conservation area setting.

Brickwork
All brickwork and granite were restored, cleaned and re-pointed with appropriate lime flush pointing

Railings
Original cast iron railings were restored according to conservation practices. The entrance was slightly widened for easier access and the gates automated.

Visual connection
On entering the residence a visual connection to the rear garden is maintained from the front door.


Hall
The original Staircase was maintained with new panelling and hidden storage units and an understairs WC

Open plan kitchen - dining area
Through a generous steel/glass - double door one enters the main open-plan kitchen/dining area.

Dual dining option
The generous open space allows for a more formal dining space in front of an elevated open fire and a casual family dining space near the rear garden.

Kitchen
A mix of period and industrial styles create a contrasting symbiosis. Exposed timber ceiling beams filter the light and add a playful light and shadow element.

Rear extension
Reclaimed handmade brickwork is used in the rear extension. Large format slender steel/glass double doors with thin profiles provide a sharp and contrasting mix in materials. A recessed motorised awning can provide shade on hot days.



Garden Lounge
A separate lounge to sit and relax away from the kitchen space can be closed off with folding double doors.



Front sitting room
Period style front sitting room with open fire place and period panelling / cornices.

Basement cinema
Under the rear extension a ca 60m2 basement was created, allowing for a cinema room / gym space. Behind the pannelling storage units are hidden and a door into the plant room / laundry room.

custom steel stairs cladded with timber to match the flooring throughout.

Bathroom
Bookmarked solid marble slabs in the main bathroom are used for wall and floor cladding with mirrored pattern symmetry.
